The Legends series is a rapidly-growing division of cars based on American hot rods.
Speedway president Greg Eastman said the division was returning after a very successful first time on the Far South Coast.
“They loved the track, they loved the crowd so they’re coming back for our meeting on Saturday,” Eastman said.
“We are very excited to be running a championship round of the country legends speedway series.”
Eastman said the cars were “small, fast and provide some of the best side-by-side racing”.
Eastman said the series is highly regulated which makes a level playing field for each driver and an exciting spectacle to watch.
“The cars weigh 400kg and run a 1200cc engine.”
“Bega driver Tyson Moon will be having his second hit out in his legends car after a very successful first run in Moruya last weekend,” Eastman said.
One of the legends cars will also be on display in the Sapphire Marketplace today and tomorrow ahead of the event.
A full card of races will support the series including V8 super sedans, Aussie sixes, super production, series and a large field of go karts.
Tickets are $15 for adults and under 14s are free.
“There will be a jumping castle for the kids and full canteen available so come on out to the speedway.”
