At 5pm, riders set off on the 25 kilometre journey from the Tarraganda fire shed to Tathra, via Dr George Mountain.
There was an excited vibe outside the fire shed in the lead-up to Saturday’s ride.
As well as the riders themselves, there were plenty of supporters on hand – including young families.
Before the ride, event organiser Richard Gallimore delivers his traditional safety induction.
The key theme of the speech was to remind everyone this was a ride, not a race.
Mr Gallimore urged all riders to remain cautious and safe.
