Temperatures over the coming days will reach as high as 34C, according to weatherzone.com.au.
The Sydney Morning Herald has reported an extensive heatwave is sweeping across eastern Australia.
Sam Brown, a meteorologist from Weatherzone, told the SMH the “heat is definitely very intense”.
“The slow-moving weather pattern has just allowed that heat to build and build,” he said (SMH, 12/1).
The temperature is expected to reach 31C in Bega on Tuesday, followed by 34C Wednesday, 33C on Thursday and 33C Friday.
Conditions will be much the same in Tathra and Bemboka over the coming days.
However, Cobargo residents will enjoy cooler weather until Friday, with a high of 27C predicted for Thursday.
Fire danger ratings are predicted to be very high this week across south-eastern Australia.
