The shelters are in addition to two others that were erected earlier this year in Canning St and in front of Casuarina Lodge in Bega St.
These two new shelters are located at the end of Carp St, next to The Oaks Retirement Village, and the other one is in Lynjohn Drive, next to the Montessori School.
The Lions have been working closely with the Bega Valley Shire Council during the planning and design stages.
The club said it appreciates all the work that Lion Denny Wiley has put in to not only these latest shelters, but the two previous ones.
The two new shelters are being paid for from club funds that the Lions have raised through various activities throughout the year.
The construction of the shelters is on top of plans to complete the construction of the skate park in Bega, following advice that an application for funding has been granted under the sports grounds upgrade program with the council.
Construction is planned to begin prior to Christmas, following many years of work and several applications for funding over that time.
The skate park has been a popular venue since the last extension was added and will no doubt draw further interest once the final section is completed.
The club is running a raffle for Christmas with first prize of a pushbike, and two skate boards as second and third prize.
Tickets are available from any of the Bega Lions Club members or can be purchased from the club in Carp St, outside the Bega newsagency.
The club expected to see all three raffle prizes in use at the skate park in the near future.
