Our Buildings & Places Team continues to thrive and we are seeking immediate support to help facilitate project completion on a flagship project based in the CBD. You will be providing key support to our Metronet project and as a proven and experienced Electrical Engineer you will hit the ground running and deliver high quality engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, drawings, schedules, reports, specifications and other documents as required.
As mentioned, the role will be initially for a 6 month’s period and you will provide electrical services expertise through the provision of design services and specific advice and input into the Metronet project. Once this project is complete, there may be opportunities to work with and provide your technical expertise to a broader range of clients and industry sectors, including Commercial, Retail, Transport, Health, Education and Defence.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience, this role presents an excellent opportunity for an immediately available motivated engineer who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment where project delivery, and technical excellence, is paramount. Staff positions may be available for the right candidate at the end of the temporary assignment.
This role will include:
Deliver design services and advice
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement
Support the team with internal and external client delivery
Grow your technical skills as part of an experienced team
Provide mentoring to graduate engineers
Assist in work planning and programming within the team.
5+ years’ experience
Experience working for a Building Services Consultancy
Proficiency with industry standard software such as MS Office, AutoCAD, PowerCAD, AGI32, Bluebeam
Ability to manage project priorities and communicate effectively with both internal and external clients around key dates
Demonstrated experience in preparing technical design documentation under senior guidance
Exceptional levels of written and oral communication.
