Security Operations Specialist

With a large number of projects in 2022, an exciting permanent opportunity for a Threat and Vulnerability Specialist opportunity has become available with an Organisation located in Port Macquarie.

Your new role
As the Security Operations Specialist you will be responsible for performing cyber security research, analysis and strategic threat assessments. You will also be responsible for undertaking detailed cyber event analysis, intelligence assessments and policy advice for identified cyber threats.

What you'll need to succeed

• In-depth knowledge of Operating systems (Linux, Windows) for investigations.
• Experience with SIEM and SOAR Technologies: Splunk, MS Sentinel or Elastic.
• Experience with EDR Technologies (Crowdstrike, FireEye, Carbon-Black, Defender ATP).
• Solid understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and Cyber-Kill Chain.
• Knowledge of security alert triage and resolution management.
• Knowledge of Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering.
