A fully Australian owned system integration SME have been supporting Australian Defence and security for over 20 years. They design, deliver and support software, electronics and mechanical systems and are looking to grow their successful team by recruiting a Project Manager!
Your new role
As a Project Manager you will be managing and delivering a technical acquisition and sustainment capability to the Commonwealth of Australia. You will be managing all aspects, and scheduling and owning the full project life cycle from beginning to the end for which you will have the accountability, responsibility, and authority to complete. On a day-to-day basis you will be;
- Preparing plans, budgets and resources
- Daily stakeholder engagement with Defence personnel, customers, suppliers and the internal engineering team
- Creating and managing an integrated project schedule
- Monitoring and analysis of schedule compliance
- Analysis and management of the cost performance, variance analysis, estimates to complete and baseline management
What you'll need to succeed
You will have had demonstrated experience in a similar Project Management role, where you have been responsible for the entire project life cycle, and ideally have completed a Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Computer Science or similar. You will be an excellent communicator with high level stakeholder engagement skills and enjoy working in a multi-facetted complex Defence environment and have an excellent ability to keep calm under pressure. You will require an Australian Citizenship to be considered for this opportunity. Your experience in an acquisition project will be well regarded.
