About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the Bega team and manage the end-to-end weekly payroll for 400 employees. This role could be based either in Docklands OR Bega NSW (with the occasional need to attend the office based in Docklands), or if your preference is and your circumstances permit, the role can also be more hybrid. In short – WE ARE FLEXIBLE!
As the Payroll Officer, you will “own” the weekly pay run, which will mean you will need to be across the different awards and policies and feel quite at home solving those problems that crop up from time to time.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Coordinating the end-to-end processing and maintenance of weekly payroll across the Bega site group
Administration of end-of-pay and end-of-month processes such as monthly reconciliations and remittance of 3rd party payments
Preparing and processing termination pays, redundancy pays and off-cycle payments as required
Producing regular business reporting and be involved in adhoc payroll projects
About you
To be successful in this role, you need to have previously worked in a similar role where you have experienced managing end-to-end pay runs (desirable)
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Payroll Management would set you up for success
Previous experience and knowledge with Workday would be ideal
Solid understanding of EBAs and experience with rostering and time and attendance systems
You must be curious and have a love for solving problems.
