Full job description

RetireAustralia is the largest private owner and operator of Retirement Villages in Australia. Our purpose is to serve our residents and customers and be the best retirement community owner, operator and care services provider for older Australians. RetireAustralia currently operates a portfolio of 28 established villages throughout New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture team in our Brisbane Support Office. This is a part time position working 3 to 4 days per week. There will also be a working from home option a couple of days per fortnight.

At RetireAustralia, we are focused on building a high performance team that works collaboratively to provide the best outcomes. You will be an integral part of the organisation by building strong relationships with management and be committed to providing excellent client services. Reporting to the Manager - Payroll, you will:

  • Manage and process all aspects of the payroll, ensuring payments are accurate and timely
  • Implement improvement to payroll processes
  • Assist with Time & Attendance System implementation project
  • Generate and distribute payroll related reports to managers
  • Assist with EOM & EOY payroll returns and lodgements
  • Undertake other administrative tasks as required

You will be someone that enjoys working within a team and contributing to the overall success of the department. Integrity and honesty are imperative for this role, as you will be handling confidential information. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential. Experience with processing manual timesheets is essential for his role.
