Job Description

Managing a small team the primary responsibility of the role is to ensure statutory financial reporting compliance for the business and its subsidiaries which includes:
- Corporations Act, ASIC and ASX compliance: Timely production of annual and interim statutory financial reports
- AASB compliance: Ensuring compliance with AASB requirements for report presentation.
- Accuracy and consistency: Ensuring accuracy and consistency in the report disclosures across all reporting entities.
- AASB and Accounting policies: Understanding of the Group's accounting policies and the relevant AASB requirements as well as the implementation of these in each business unit.The role additionally requires the building of a strong business partnering relationship with other teams within Finance & Strategy, in particular Financial Control and Group Taxation, and with the Commercial Finance team in each Business Platform, to assist in the delivery of the Statutory Reporting team's responsibilities.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will be able to display the following criteria;

• CA or CPA qualified
• At least 8 years' experience in statutory reporting and/or auditing
• Strong coaching, collaboration, communication and supervisory skills
• Sound business acumen and understanding of financial controls and processes.
• Analytical skills and excellent attention to details
• Very strong technical accounting knowledge and statutory reporting skills
• Ability to adapt to change and work methodically while under pressure
• Advanced Excel skills and computer literate in a range of financial software and reporting packages (e.g. SUN, TM1, OneSource, NomosOne)
