Finance Business Partner

This government organisation is based in Melbourne CBD and are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their vibrant team.

Your new role
You'll be working across three branches of the organisation and within a supportive team. The division is responsible for coordinating the preparation of budgets, financial accounts, financial planning, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory compliance including subsidiary, trust and joint venture accounting and taxation.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in a similar role.

The following is required for this role;

• Appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline and significant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis and financial reporting with the ability to exemplify financial management best practice.
• Proven skills and experience in developing and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders.
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to lead complex projects.
• Highly developed computer proficiency, preferably in Microsoft Word, Excel and Financial Systems.
• CPA / CA qualification is beneficial to have, but not essential.
