Based in the Bayside municipal, my Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain client has recently tripled in size and has no plans on slowing down any time soon. We are really looking for someone who wants to grow with a business and has visions in stepping into a CFO role in 5 years. They are an international logistics business that covers everything from air and ocean cargo through to supply chain services.

Job Description

The Deputy Financial Controller will lead on:

• Preparation of timely and accurate financial statements and annual reports.
• Measuring company performance against external and internal benchmarks.
• Managing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensuring compliance to statutory law, finance, and tax regulations.
• Oversight of the AP/AR and Payroll function
• Oversight of the preparation, reconciliation and lodgement of quarterly BAS
• Managing and training of staff within the Finance team

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Deputy Financial Controller will have/be:

• Qualified finance professional
• Transport experience
• Experienced team manager
• Sector experience will be highly regarded
• An audit background or extensive experience within audit
• Great communication skills
