Young guns on fire at Bega golf

Thursday's Bega Men’s Golf event was taken over this week by the “young guns” with Will Ubrihien dominating the course with an astonishing 45 stableford points! 

Saturday saw another good roll up for a stableford medley. Some terrific scores were produced, including A grade winner Graham Roberts with 41 pts. B grade winner was Laurie Billman with a very respectful 37, however the round of the day went to C grade winner Malcolm Watson with a terrific 43. 

Nearest the pins were won by (9th) H Peterson, Wayne Thomas and Peter Wiley; (12th Golden Shot) Nick Newton; (15th)  H Peterson, N Newton; (17th) P Newton and K Thorpe; (18th) G Tarlinton. The news of the day was Peter Wiley’s hole-in-one on the 9th.

The second round of the 2018 pennant season saw Bega triumph over Eden in all three grades on Sunday.  Div 1 won 4/1 , Div 2 won 3/2 while seniors won 4/1. This week Bega hosts the third round with assistance needed on the barbecue and general running of the day.

Next week is a two-ball shootout.
