Jim has had a great few weeks competing very well in the Tathra Wharf to waves followed up by an awesome effort at Eden carnival last Saturday, which included taking out first place in the splash for cash.
Meanwhile, the Bega Pool is gearing up towards the annual Bendigo Bank Business House Relays in early March.
The event is an always-popular family-fun night, and you don’t have to be a great swimmer to take part. As long as you can make one lap of the pool – wetsuits, fins, floaties are all allowed – and you can swim any stroke.
Teams of four can register for the relays. However there are also age sprints for the more competitive. There is also $150 on the line for the team whose members have ages that add up to 150 and who win the sprint of one lap each.
The Bega Business House Relays will be held on Saturday, March 3. Gates open at 4pm and races start from 5pm. Registration forms are available at the pool.
