Forty-eight Tathra Beach Country Club lady golfers entered a Stroke competition last Tuesday. This event was also the first Monthly Medal competition for the year.

The medal winner, and also the Div 1 winner (Hcp 0-25), was Denise Falvey with a score of 71 nett. Runner-up, with a score of 76 nett, was Pam Hahne.
Helen Groch was the winner of Div 2 (Hcps 26-31). Helen’s score of 76 nett was 2 strokes clear of runner-up Renate Boulter.
Div 3 (Hcps 32-45) was won by Joan Hardy, with a score of 77 nett. Trish Westmore was the runner-up, with a nett 79.
The best score, off the stick, was 88 returned by Robyn Brand. The best tee shots on the Par 3's were Robyn Brand the 9th, Joan Hardy the 14th and Shirley Toohill on the 3rd and 18th.
The least number of putts was a tie, with Kerry Gardner and Pam Hahne both having 27 putts. Sixteen balls were awarded to players with scores of 80 and better.
The Bev Munz Summer Salver was presented to the player with the best eclectic score in the summer competition. This event was won by Noeline Bell, who plays off a handicap of 6, so this was a great achievement.
Also presented was the summer stableford competition, sponsored by Noeline Bell. The winner was Noeline from Lyn Hambilton.
Last Saturday a Stableford was the competition played in near perfect weather. Best score of the day was returned by Margaret Nall. A score of 39 points gave Margaret a clear win in Div 1 by 5 points from Denise Falvey. Div 2 was taken out by Kaye Murray with 32 points. Runner-up, with 29 points, was Robyn Carnegie.
Nearest the Pin winners were Robyn Brand on the 9th, Marg Kermode on the 14th and Carol Stege on the 18th. Scores from 39 points to 28 were needed to win a ball and 11 were given. Next Saturday is a Par event and on Tuesday a Stableford is scheduled.
On Monday, 20 players participated in a 9 Hole Stableford event. The winners were Barbara Sekuless, Joan Hardy, Cheryl Mckenzie, Rhonda Castellari, and Carol Newton. We welcomed back Min Vale, Alison Coman, Leonie Shepherd and Denise Walters. Next Monday hit off is at 8:15. Members very welcome.
