The Victorian entry was the only division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1130 on Thursday, January 11. The $55million jackpot is the highest Australian lottery jackpot in 12 months.
In addition to the huge jackpot prize, more than 1.027 million other prizes were won across Australia in divisions two to eight, sharing in a total prize pool of $22.24million.
The last time the Powerball jackpot was $55million, in January 2017, the entire prize was won by one entry – a private syndicate of 21 Queensland Government workers.
As Thursday night’s winning entry was not registered to a player’s card, the identity of the ticketholder remains a mystery and they may have yet to discover they’re now $55 million richer.
Tatts is urging all Victorians who purchased an entry in last night’s Powerball draw to check their tickets.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1130 were 32, 7, 5, 34, 38 and 11, while the all-important Powerball number was 12.
