The band hasn't played in the Bega Valley in almost 10 months, but has been earning rave reviews at Australian festivals including Caloundra (Qld), Blues at Bridgetown (WA), and the Sydney Blues and Roots festival.
The Swamp Stompers play funky rock and blues with heavy grooves, sounding like the musical lovechild of John Butler Trio, Led Zeppelin, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
This year they introduce new drummer Oliver Morley-Sattler to the searing slide guitar, contrasting dual-lead vocals, catchy guitar riffs and dubstep inspired didgeridoo soundscapes.
Friday’s show is highly anticipated and will likely draw a large crowd. It will also be the last time to catch the Swamp Stompers locally until the Cobargo Folk Festival in March.
Doors open at 8pm for this 18+ event with free entry. Support act Spindrift Saga from Batemans Bay will take the stage from 8.30pm and Corey Legge and the Swamp Stompers from 9.15pm.
