The Tathra Tai Chi group has had a wonderful year, keeping fit, mobile and social.

It operates under the banner of the Southern Area Health falls prevention program, and as such, is a not for profit organisation. Money collected covers the cost of hiring the Tathra Hall but the group was fortunate to have money leftover in 2017.

Members decided to donate the $820 to Community Carers Accommodation South East.

CCASE representative and Tathra Lions member Rob Owen met the tai chi group at the Tathra Wharf, where members were having a Christmas morning tea, to happily receive the donation. Mr Owen said the donation would go towards stage two of the accommodation.

The group was very proud to have been able to assist such a wonderful community initiative.

Anyone interested in joining Tathra Tai Chi can call Judith on 6494 5884. Sessions are Monday and Tuesdays 9-10am at the Tathra Hall, starting on January 22.
