The Friendly Grocer store in Tathra had a special visit from the company’s national CEO Anthony Van Roevan and chairman Terry Stehbens in November when they were announced NSW store of the year for 2017.

Tathra won the title over 180 other stores in NSW, based on their customer service, growth and community involvement.
Mr Van Roevan congratulated owner Nicole Dowdle for her investment in the store over the year.
Mr Stehbens said it was a great pleasure to visit the store and meet the owner, her family and her customers.
While stores were judged on paper by looking at margins and results, Mr Stehbens said the Tathra store had added value from its scenic location.
To celebrate her win, Mr Van Roevan and Mr Stehbens took Ms Dowdle out for dinner on the night of the announcement.
