Parts of the playground are past their best and have been for some time.
With safety paramount, council has decided that it is time to remove the climbing frame structure as well as two individual rockers located nearby.
The play structures that will remain include three swing sets, the see-saw rocker, and the shade structure that protects young ones from Tathra’s famous summer sun.
Council will be consulting with the local community to discuss what items of play equipment should be installed at this local parkland to meet the ongoing demands and expectations of the community and visitors to the Shire.
Residents can use the nearby Lot Stafford Memorial Playground in Taylor Square, near the Tathra Surf Club, or the playground located at Lions Park, Mogareeka, on the southern side of the Mogareeka Bridge.
