In February, rugby union teams from NSW and the ACT will take to the Tathra Beach Country Club sports field for the fast and exciting seven-a-side variant of the game.
It will involve youth players in both boys and girls divisions – under 15s and 17s girls, and under 16s and 18s boys.
In early 2017 the event at Tathra included several Far South Coast players who have since gone on to play for the ACT Brumbies and Australian youth 7s.
Among the players to impress were Tamika Millard from Eden and Kyle Shepherdson of Bega, who have played for the Brumbies Youth 7s sides.
Also involved was Narooma’s Lilly-Rose Bennett who has made a name for herself playing for the Brumbies Youth Girls 7s as well as the Australian Youth Girls 7s, playing in the Youth Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning team.
Registrations for the event, to be held on the weekend of February 17-18, 2018, are open now by contacting Lachlan Creighton on l.creighton@brumbies.com.au or 0407 720 386.
