Fifty-five riders joined the trek through beautiful Bemboka country, traversing rural landscapes, water crossings, bushland and rainforest, with morning tea and hot lunch provided by support crews.
Most were local riders, but there were also visitors from Moruya, Harden, Jindabyne, Bungendore and the ACT. On the ride were three generations of the Umbers family, Ross, his son Glenn and grandchildren Evie and Chloe.
On the Saturday night 85 people enjoyed a group dinner with music from The Radars – Trapper, Ricky Bloomfield and Damon Davies.
Without the support of Bemboka locals this event would not be possible, with organisers thanking drivers, support crew and officials who made sure the ride remained safe and enjoyable.
Bemboka Horse Ride fundraising has enabled the building and fit-out of a brand new amenities block at the showground. This is hoped to be finished and ready for the 2018 Bemboka Show.
