Night Parrot documentary
Sunday, October 15, will be the next monthly community documentary screening in the Old Cobargo Butter Factory at 3.30pm.
The film maker Robert Nugent will be present for an introduction before and a Q&A after the screening of Night Parrot Stories.
In the remote deserts of Australia lives an elusive nocturnal bird called the Night Parrot. Virtually nothing is known of its ecology. It disappeared at the end of the 19th century. Searching for evidence of its existence became a preoccupation.
Night Parrot Stories was filmed in all the locations where Night Parrots once lived, during a time when stories of extinction were everywhere.
Coffee and tea provided - Bring your own mug. To cover the costs a $5 donation is much appreciated. Please come in big numbers to keep more documentary screenings possible!
