Some of the brightest performers on the circuit today will take the stage at Wolumla Hall on Saturday, October 21, including special guests Greg Bain and Peggy Gilchrist.
Lindsay Butler OAM is a highly decorated musician, receiving his Order of Australia Medal for services to the Australian country music industry.
Elevated to the Roll of Renown and Wall of Honour, Lindsay is a multiple golden guitar winner who has been described as the greatest Australian country guitar player of his generation.
His unique sound has inspired countless young pickers to play guitar and he has personally released nearly 30 solo instrumental albums.
Shaza Leigh is a prominent figure within the country music industry. As one of Australia’s finest female vocalists, Shaza’s been inducted onto The Women’s Wall of Fame, Hands of Fame Wall of Honour and has amassed ten consecutive titles as ‘Queensland Female Vocalist of the Year’.
Shaza has also received ‘National Female Artist of the Year on Radio’ four times and has numerous Golden Guitar nominations throughout her career.
Special guest Greg Bain is a unique singer of the Australian Bush Ballad. His style falls somewhere between Slim Dusty and John Williamson, yet is somehow totally fresh and different.
Greg won the A.B.B.A. Star Quest and his winning prize single, went on to win the New Talent in the Australian Bush Ballad Awards and was a Bush Balladeer of the Year finalist in the 2013 Gold Medallion Media Awards.
The Queen of the Country Piano, Peggy Gilchrist stars in her own feature spot on the concert. Gilchrist has toured as part of the Butler Showband for over five years now and the excitement, enthusiasm and fun that she brings to the stage is unsurpassed.
She has won Queensland Musician of the year four consecutive years plus Qeensland New Talent of the Year for her debut release. Peggy’s second album, Take Two, has been widely received by our audiences across this land.
