Angus was taking part in the NSW PSSA boys hockey Championships after being named as a player in the Far South Coast Marlins squad earlier in the year.
Facing some of the state’s best, the team had a middle-ground finish – ending the tournament in eighth of the 13 teams.
“Each game played was close in final score and a fantastic display of the hockey skills being taught across all areas of NSW,” a spokeswoman said.
The Marlins displayed a great range of sportsmanship and skill for kids their age and Angus enjoyed the chance to run onto the turf with a great group of kids. Officials congratulated Angus on representing the area.
His parents thanked Betty Lockerbie , Leigh Rogers, Mick Collins and Deb Roberts for the way they have coached, supported and encouraged Angus to pursue his hockey dream.
