Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command have been investigating two incidents in the past week.
The first occurred just before 8.30pm on Friday, when a man allegedly threatened a staff member with a knife and stole cash from Liquorland, on Cowper Street, Warrawong.
Shortly before 3.30pm Sunday two men allegedly stole cash and alcohol after threatening an attendant with a knife at the BWS store off Tannery Street, Unanderra.
Following inquiries, Lake Illawarra Police arrested two men at Berkeley this morning.
Police seized several items for forensic examination, including a bottle of tequila.
A 39-year-old man has been charged with two counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon, while a 24-year-old man has been charged with one count of robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
Both men have been refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court today.
