The Bega Roosters had mixed results over the weekend with two teams advancing, while the under 18s and first grade sides dropped out of contention.

The under 18s were soundly beaten by a rampant Narooma Devils contingent 50-10, while the first grade side’s hopes came crashing to an end as they went down to the Merimbula-Pambula Bulldogs in extra time on Saturday.
The Roosters had won their way through to the elimination final, but suffered a 13-12 loss with the Bulldogs slotting a field goal in extra time under lights at the Pambula Sporting Complex.
Meanwhile the league-tag Chicks will advance, securing a 22-14 win over the Merimbula-Pambula Hot Doggies on Saturday.
The reserve grade Roosters have booked tickets for the Group 16 grand final, upsetting the Candelo-Bemboka Panthers (see below).
In first grade, the Roosters battled the Bulldogs as the two sides traded blows in a low-scoring contest.
Bega quick Zac Cuzner opened the scoring off a quick burst, but the Bulldogs were quick to reply with prop Grant Moon making a 60-metre dash to score.
Before the break, Cuzner flanked to the other side of the field and punished the Bulldogs again, with a darting try on the left edge.
After Zak Mikula scored early in the second half, the Roosters trailed 12-10, but James Bower-Scott made no mistake when the Bega side opted for a shot on goals from about 30 out after a penalty.
Despite increasingly desperate attacking raids, neither team could find the try-line late in the piece and play went to extra time.
In the opening five minutes, Bega tried a shot for the field goal, but missed from range.
It was only in the second five-minute period the Bulldogs were able to spend their tackles for good field position with Corey Schafer slotting the single point kick. .
Earlier, the injury-hampered under 18s had been outclassed by a speedy Narooma contingent.
Narooma half-back Clyde Parsons was devastating, unleashing a five-try effort against the Roosters, while fullback Matt Parsons ran in three.
The Roosters found some late opportunities with a pair of handy tries, but could not hope to reel in the huge deficit.
In league-tag, Bega's speedsters locked in a good half-time lead before the Hot Doggies staged a second half fight-back.
Taelar Williams featured in a hat-trick of tries from some strong line breaks.
The Hot Doggies replied quickly in the second half through their own number six Tamika Millard, who scored two tries, but Madison Parbery claimed a late try to seal the win for Bega.
The Chicks will now face the Sharkettes in Moruya.
