The tri-colours will be on the road to meet the Sharks at their home ground on Moruya’s Ack Weyman Oval in all four senior grades.
The Roosters will again be calling on the depth of their strong reserve grade contingent to bolster the first grade.
The extras will aid the top grade as the Roosters look to close down a cagey Sharks outfit that risks dropping out of finals contention on the back of a loss.
The Sharks hold fifth place on the ladder in the top grade, behind the Roosters, but could slip out of the running on for and against if the Eden Tigers can steal a victory from the Merimbula-Pambula Bulldogs.
For the Roosters, the biggest risk lays squarely in the Moruya Sharkettes league-tag roster.
The Sharks have dropped just a single match this season, but the Chicks will need to pull a win out of the bag, or potentially face a heart-breaking early finish to their year.
The Eden Tigresses are sixth on the table on for and against, but a win over the Merimbula-Pambula Hot Doggies on Sunday would see them claim fifth outright on points if the Chicks are unable to secure the two points on offer against Moruya.
Moruya sits third behind the Roosters in the reserve grade competition, but the Bega squad has lost just two rounds and holds an unassailable position on the ladder.
The Bega club will hold second place into the finals series no matter the result this weekend, but captain-coach Scott Barton has his troops primed for an epic clash on enemy turf.
Bega’s under 18s will be similarly unfazed by the outcome of the weekend as they easily claim third on the competition ladder with the Sharks outside finals contention in sixth.
Play for the Roosters will be at Ack Weyman Oval on Sunday from 10.30am with the under 18s to open proceedings.
In other Group 16 draws, the Candelo-Bemboka Panthers are runaway leaders in the reserve grade contest and will lead as premiership favourites into their final round – where they will meet the Bombala Blue Heelers.
The Pink Panthers will also travel up to Bombala to meet the High Heelers, but will finish their 2017 campaign on Sunday, outside finals hopes.
Play is at the Bombala Showground from 12.20pm and reserves to play at 1.20pm.
The Bermagui-Cobargo Eels have been hamstrung by lack of numbers and injuries this year and will not play finals football, finishing their season against the Bull Ants in Pambula on Sunday.
