Bermagui CWA hosts soup and trivia day

At the CWA Annual NSW State Conference in Tumbi Umbi in May this year, a cheque for $38,000 was presented to The Lyme Disease Association of Australia. Fundraising and awareness for this cause is the focus for CWA branches for this year also.

Consequently, Bermagui CWA is holding its annual soup and trivia day this Friday, July 14 at 12pm in the clubrooms, Corunna St Bermagui. Donation of $10 includes all the fun and games plus a delicious lunch of homemade soups and slices. Quiz masters are Ruth Brooks and Heather Sobey.

The CWA ladies will also be “Baking for Babies” in preparation for a cake stall to be held at the monthly Red Cross Sunday market in Bermagui on July 30.  Proceeds from the stall will be forwarded to the Newborn Intensive Care Foundation, which is fundraising for a twin emergency retrieval intensive care cot for transferring sick newborns from regional NSW to Canberra Hospital.

All are welcome to head along, have some fun and of course to support these worthy causes.
