The squad continued it’s undefeated run when the Tathra outfit travelled to Bemboka over the weekend with the visitors claiming a 2-0 result over the hosts.
Tathra spokesman Dan Bakker said it was a “huge improvement” from the Bemboka club who had gone down to the Sea Eagles 11-0 earlier in the season.
However, this weekend the 11s will have a big task in taking on the strong Mallacoota outfit.
The under 14s capped off the round with a 5-0 result over the Braves after leading 2-0 at the break.
Officials commended the Bemboka keeper, who denied a lot of shots on goal from Tathra early with just a pair slipping through.
The second half played similarly, but Tathra set up better with some great passing plays to score three more with goals to Nicholas Fantham and Max Navarette, while Eddie Blewett scored a hat-trick.
The senior ladies enjoyed a 2-0 win over the Braves after holding the margin at the break.
The Tathra women’s team continued to impress despite a shortage of numbers.
“Fortunately this week there were 10 players, an improvement on last week’s seven – against a full Bemboka squad with three subs,” a spokesman for the club said.
The Sea Eagles locked in their strong passing game early and turned good passages of possession into opportunities in front of the goals.
Ingrid Thompson converted the first for the visitors about 15 minutes into the first half with Tarni Evans collecting the second before the break.
Officials said Tathra created more opportunities in the second half, but the hosts had rallied their defenses and proved difficult to get past as they shut out the visitors.
“Tathra was unable to add to their tally, but were still keeping the Bemboka attackers at bay to finish with the tidy 2-0 win,” the spokesman said.
The first grade men’s side enjoyed a bye round.
Far South Coast Football Association play will continue this weekend with a big draw of games to go ahead.
The first grade United side will have another bye, while the Bega Devils take on the Wolumla Tigers in a ladder-topping showdown at the Wolumla Recreation Ground on Sunday at 2.40pm.
Meanwhile Wolumla will also host Bega Red in the reserve grade fixture with the game to go ahead at 1.30pm.
In ladies play, Tathra will host Mallacoota at the Tathra Beach Country Club grounds at 1pm on Sunday. The Wolumla Tigresses will have a bye.
Tathra will play at home in most of the junior grades with games to run at the Country Club ground from 9.30am on Sunday. Spectators are welcome.
