Playing as part of the women’s masters team, Seckold has been a key contender in early round wins for the green and gold at the halfway mark in competition. 

This year’s championships are being played on the beaches of Royan in France and at the time of print the Aussies were holding good position on the ladder. 

The team is undefeated after strong results against the Phillipines 13-1, France 13-7, Denmark 13-8 and the Netherlands 12-8. 

Games played on Day three also saw the Aussies knocking over Sweden 13-5 and Germany 12-6. 

However, the US is proving one of the top contenders and holds the lead on for and against with both teams running undefeated after six rounds of play.  

Officials said going into day four the first match of the day for the Aussies would be Currier Island and pundits are tipping the green and gold to maintain their unbeaten run into the contest. 

At the time of writing, Seckold has been a strong performer for the Australian masters roster with six goals and a handful of assists. 

Her stats put her in the top five players for the team, while Kara Adlington leads the charge for Australia with 13 goals in the division. 

The team is hoping to knock over a solid result in three pool rounds to be played on Wednesday (French coastal time), but officials said the Aussies could face stiff opposition moving in to day four of the championships. 

Wednesday afternoon, the Australians will meet the third-placed Canadians, but officials said the Canadians had incidentally only been defeated by the US roster and was one of the top contenders in the competition.

The next hurdle on Thursday night would be to overcome Spain, who are currently holding down fifth on the competition ladder.

Tournament officials said the Australians had been playing phenomenally during the early rounds and backed the green and gold to defeat the spaniards. 

However, they said the biggest test would come on the final day of pool matches on Thursday where Australia meets both the US and Great Britain. 

Only teams in the top four will get a semi-finals berth and play on for the World Championship crown.
