Officials said the two clubs battled out some exceptional results in the season-opener and were looking forward to matching up the challenge once more.
The Roosters were able to clinch the first grade win with a late penalty goal to seal a two-point win after the clubs were running level in the dying stages.
The Roosters still aren’t back to full strength, but have depth from the 18s and reserve grade sides to back up and plug any gaps in the top squad for Sunday’s clash.
The two teams line up similarly on the field with an emphasis on fitness and speed throughout, while also boasting some of the competition’s best halves combinations.
For the Roosters, watch for the wingers to get involved on the edges as James Bower-Scott sets up plays with support from Lee Fuller and Ricky Stapleton.
Meanwhile the Dogs will focus more around the middle through hooker Jarryd Cole’s blindside bursts and big runs from Daniel Cronks and Grant Moon.
Both clubs are hovering inside the top four across all four senior and officials are expecting a fantastic show.
In round one, the Roosters reserves schooled the Bull Ants in their first return outing 48-12, but the Bull Ants appear to be one of the big improvers in the competion.
Bega has been putting it together well, currently running second behind the Panthers, but the Bull Ants have strung together a number of wins to hold fourth ahead of round eight.
In the opener, league-tag favoured the visiting Hot Doggies 20-8 in what was their first-ever win over the Bega Chicks.
And the Hot Doggies have continued with some scintillating form to run third on the ladder.
However, the Chicks have been boosted by the return of some veterans and last week accomplished the seemingly impossible, recording a 10-10 draw against the undefeated Moruya Sharkettes.
The Chicks have built on their skills quickly and the two clubs will match up their speedsters in Madison Parbery for Bega and Ebony Pointon for the hosts.
Opening the day will be the under 18s clash, which pits the number one Bulldogs against the second-placed Roosters in an epic clash.
The Bulldogs are yet to taste defeat this season, while the Roosters have only suffered one loss and that was to the Bulldogs in round one.
Both sides boast blistering pace and a mean step on their play-makers.
League-tag will open the day at the Pambula Sporting Complex with the match to run at 10.30am.
Under 18s at 11.30, reserves at 1pm and first grade to kick off at 2.30pm.
