Tantawangalo church sale proposal
Another piece of history that will be sadly be lost. My sister Kathy and I had the privilege of growing up on the banks of the beautiful Tantawanglo river and lived next door to the church. So many fond memories of our time spent there. What an absolute disgrace! So sad to see this happening.

It is very sad indeed. All our family are buried there and the church holds a lot of memories.

My mum is mortified. She went every month. Family have been married, baptised and buried there.

Great idea but I hope the money is spent wisely.

I don't understand what is deemed 'disgraceful' in earlier comments. The fact that people don't go to Sunday church anymore, or the fact that one underused building might be sold to help make another underused building more suitable for modern needs?

Actually there is a congregation at the church for every service held which is generally once a month. The church was built by and maintained by the community. The only overhead is the minister and the minimal power.

It is really more like a lack of vision. Maybe they can sell Westminster Cathedral as well to fund a soup kitchen in Soho.

Ella Harris found safe
Great news and thanks to all her Bega and Melbourne friends who raised the alarm that Ella had gone missing and especially my daughter Reeni down in Melbourne who with her friends never stopped looking every day to find Ella. Great effort you all should be proud of the help and information your gave to the Victorian police. I know you will be there for Ella always.
