The Stallions were able to take control of the game using their size across the park and secure a 36-18 win for the home-ground fans.
The hosts were also able to clinch a win in the ladies league-tag showdown 18-10, which was a somewhat surprise upset by the Fillies over the Chicks.
However, it didn’t all go the hosts’ way with Bega stealing away some competition points in both the under 18s and reserve grade fixtures.
In the headline first grade draw, the Stallions just proved too big across the paddock, keeping the Roosters at bay throughout.
Early exchanges all went heavily in favour of the Stallions, who set up a commanding early lead with tries to centre Karlos Filiga, Tim Knight and Todd WIlliams.
The Roosters were making some good metres, but couldn’t find the line as the Stallions led at the break 12-0.
Even from the restart, the hosts appeared to hold the momentum with Adam Walters locking in an early try before the Roosters could finally respond on the scoreboard.
Bega’s first points came through Scott Fuller, but the Stallions piled on more tries to lead 36-6 midway through the second half.
The Roosters found their rhythm to score a pair of late tries to Justin Towney and James Duncan, but time ran short to chase down any more chances.
The young guns got the result with a 38-12 scoreline where Riley Joyce starred, picking up a triple for the visiting Roosters.
The reserves was a clincher for the Roosters as the Stallions fought back from a 12-0 deficit to trail by just two points 10-12 by the half-time break.
Both clubs rallied their defenses and almost went scoreless in the second half, but Joe Aldridge broke through on a strong run and found the line for the Roosters, setting up a 16-10 win.
Tries in the first half had gone to Connor Carr and Lee Fuller with some strong runs.
In the ladies fixture, Cooma stunned the visitors with winger Jess Povey bolting in for a quick try in the second minute.
Desiree Ferreira brought the score back for the Chicks with a try of her own, plus the extras from Madison Parbery to lead 6-4.
However, a handy pair of tries to the Fillies gave them a 14-6 lead at the break.
Elyse Phillipzen claimed a four-pointer early in the second period to give the Chicks hope at 14-10, but the Fillies muscled up in defence and eventually found their own gap for Olivia Barron to cap off the scoring with Cooma ahead 18-10.
