NSW Police have confirmed a man has died after a crash north of Bodalla on Thursday afternoon.
Just before 4pm, emergency services were called to the Princes Hwy, Turlinjah, following reports of a crash just north of the Trunketabella bridge.
Officers from Far South Coast Local Area Command attended and found a Holden Commodore and a Mitsubishi Pajero had crashed at the location.
Emergency services attended, including Narooma VRA rescue squad and the Bodalla RFS brigade.
However, the driver of the Holden, a 56-year-old man, died at the scene.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 32-year-old woman, was taken to Moruya Hospital where she is being treated for minor injuries and undergoing mandatory testing.
Both drivers were single occupants in the cars.
The highway was closed in both directions for about two hours before one lane was opened to allow traffic through. Traffic was delayed late into the evening.
A brief will be prepared for the Coroner.
