Running from 8.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday, April 29, the market will be a busy day of entertainment, food and sustainable products.

“We have a record 49 stalls, which is our biggest number in our five year history,” Tanja Public School P&C member Michelle Wilkie said.

“We have so many stalls we will have our very own 'Market Day Food Hall' in the middle of the school grounds.”

The Tesla car is sure to garner attention on the day, with the S75 model now the company’s cheapest after the discontinuation of its 60kWh version earlier this month.

“It’s terrific we have community members that embrace our annual theme, and offer us all a look at an electric car - a glimpse into the future,” Ms Wilkie said.

The market will also have live performances throughout the day.

“Performers confirmed are Dan Scollay's combined choirs from Bega and Bermagui, Mica Lynnah’s Bollywood dancers and Cayce Hill and her Funhouse Studio dancers,” Ms Wilkie said.

“A new young local band called Carie Evans and the Matchsticks will also be performing, plus a Tim Holt lead group called The Stands, as well as buskers and an open mic and open piano session.

A wide range of stalls will be running this year, all keeping to the school’s ethos of sustainable living.

“Stalls this year include Nelleke Gorton and her delectable tarts and cupcakes, baked goods from Jareem, local artisans with handmade ceramics, jewellery and birdbaths.

“There will also be up-cycled clothing, herbal skin creams, printmakers, Gisella's naan bread, and plenty of stalls with second hand clothes, hand-made clothes, macrame jewellery and bric-a-brac.

“The Narooma Men's Shed will also be joining in along with Mia Karlson and her hand-blown glass,” she said.

Food will be catered by the Tanja Public School P&C.

“The BBQ will be hot and ready for those of us that are there early, and our popular curry stall will start at 11am for lunch,” Ms Wilkie said.

“There will be great coffee by Za's Mobile Coffee, and Tathra Public School is also going to join us with their coffee machine.”
