Public service cuts
Decentralising won't kill Canberra….it will continue to grow. Maybe Mike Kelly should represent the regional areas that he covers and push to have some of those relocated departments put in the Bega Valley or even Monaro which he actually is supposed to represent, not the ACT.

Well said. Someone has to stop these people in Canberra. They don't get it. Canberra is the nation's capital, what are they trying to prove?

Seems a crazy and unnecessary expense by a government cutting funds to all and sundry in their grab for cash. Not to mention the extremely detrimental effect it would have on our local economy and for those businesses that rely on tourism in our region. Bit of a kick in the teeth for small businesses, the coalition faithful, in the alpine and Merimbula areas.

Public housing debacle
Yes the homeless numbers are growing each week. There are public housing places, there are limited temporary housing places up to 45 days only – after that you are on your own. There are no affordable private housing, there are no vacancies, there are no houses – but there are houses that are investments sitting empty.
