Professional grant writers will be used to apply for both state and federal funding for the new theatre with between $6-7 million being sought for the work.
Initial work by the committee has ensured the hall is ready for the next and much larger stage of building work.
The hall committee is an incorporated body and has built shops whose commercial rents have helped to fund works such as the new toilets inside the hall which have been designed to be load bearing for the second level of the raked theatre.
The committee aims to raise $200,000 from the community in support of the funding effort.
