The club welcomed Kane Morgan back into the playing ranks taking on the role of playing coach for the club’s top grade.
However, the Roosters are also booned by the return of prop Jarrod Tamatea, while backrower Luke Dowdle is back after a stint in Group 7 where he played for Berry.
One of Tathra’s best in Josh Shepherdson has joined the Bega ranks and officials said “his utlility value will be a great asset as the season progresses”.
Meanwhile, players from the club’s phenomenal under 18s side are stepping into the senior roles with players like Will Picker, Zac Cuzner and Declan Bower-Scott all picking up first grade game time last year.
The club is also blooding some budding new under 18s with some great young stars stepping out from the under 16s.
The ladies will also look markedly different than previous years with plenty of fresh new faces in the line-up.
Officials said it was great to see new players coming through and hoped the veterans of the multiple-premiership winning Chicks could share their skills and experience with the recruits.
Group 16’s regular season gets underway this weekend with the Roosters to host the Merimbula-Pambula Bulldogs Saturday from 2.30pm.
The Bulldogs have gone standalone this year, fielding all four teams and are shaping as a danger side.
Nathan Heffernan will continue coaching from the sideline, while the club welcomes Dylan Fletcher and Matt Evelyn.
