The Sapphire Coast Music Society will welcome New Zealand’s Mark Walton on clarinet and saxophone with pianist David Howie for its first concert of the year.

The two promise to provide an enchanting and diverse repertoire.
Howie was Head of Keyboard Studies at Kings College in Somerset, England for four years before returning to Australia where he has lectured in accompaniment as a member of the Ensemble Unit since 1992 at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Walton is widely acknowledged as a virtuoso clarinet and saxophone performer, inspiring teacher and sought-after composer.
For many years he held the position of chair of woodwind, then chair of performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
The concert will be at the Wolumla Hall in Wolumla on Sunday with doors opening at 2pm.
Tickets are $25 and accompanied children under 16 are free.
The price includes afternoon tea.
