The school in the quiet town of Quaama has started off 2017 on a good note, with more pupils beginning in Kindergarten than last year.
Nine children have started Kindy at Quaama Public School and teacher Jenny Hobbis said they were all “settling in beautifully”.
“Most of them went to pre-school so they sort of know what to expect,” she said.
School principal Graham Roberts said there were 61 children across all years and numbers had been growing.
He said there were no big changes this year, the school was just “going ahead with traditional programs”.
But Mr Roberts said a teacher had just begun teaching Japanese lessons.
The first session of school parliament starts this week and the school will be involved in Clean Up Australia Day in a few weeks.
