Stewards were delighted with the entries in the pavilions, with many reporting numbers up on last year.
Kameruka Pavilon chief steward John Coman said it was particularly pleasing to see a large number of entries from children which would ensure that the great tradition of Candelo’s country show would long continue.
Australia’s ambassador to Russia, Peter Tesch, flew in to perform the official opening, leaving behind temperatures of -30 degrees in Moscow for a warm summer’s day in Candelo.
