Officials welcomed a strong turnout on the day when 10 squads of shooters took part across two competitions.
The day featured a side-by-side event sponsored by Bruce Arthurson as well as an under and over event with support from Vikki and Warren Marshall.
Organisers set up the day across eight shooting stations and each presented the field with a good range of challenging targets.
Despite the difficulty, organisers said a highlight for the day was young Cooma shooter Oscar Mower scoring the possible 25 in his opening round to upstage the more experienced.
Mower continued his good form to enjoy solid scores across the three later rounds as well.
By the end of the four sessions, John Lehmann took charge of the field to secure the high gun award for the day in the side-by-side.
While all 10 winners were split evenly across all the grades on the day.
Officials said the field really turned it on for the under and over round with all the winners hitting well above their handicaps.
The club also needed a number of count-backs to work out the top 10 place-getters.
In the side-by-side, Pat Jubb sat just one target behind Lehmann to claim the runner-up spot, while third went to Colin Nunn on 104.
Fourth went to Mark Scheffer on 100, relegating Jonathan Whyte to fifth place with 99 on the board.
Michelle Craig and Adam Mower were also hard to separate, scoring 97 and 96 respectively.
Bob Duncan was well in the hunt, just one behind on 95 with John Sankey and Roger Budd rounding out the top 10.
John Hine topped the under and over with a fantastic score of 112 on a count-back from runner-up Andrew Whitbread.
The battle between third and fourth also needed a count-back as Whillie White pipped Oscar Mower after both landed 111.
A three-way count-back gave John Theobald fifth place after scoring 109 equal with Ken Buckley and Dale Alison.
Scoring was exceptional in the second round with Penny White hitting 104 to claim 10th.
Adam Mower was winner of the jackpot sweep, but he was unable to show the form of son Oscar in the shoot off and had to settle for the consolation meat tray, donated by Benny’s Butchery of Cobargo.
The club thanked Garry Martin who gave up his day shooting to trap for the field.
The club’s next shoot will be on January 29 for the 100-target Grumpy’s Challenge.
