Peter Crain proved too consistent for his fellow A graders as he fired a day’s best 39 leaving Lynton Riddell runner-up on his 36. B grade fell to Mark Bergsman as he just nudged Peter Stege 37- 36. Rob Cummins continued his strong recent form to claim C grade with 39 from John Carroll’s 37. Balls went to 34.
Saturday’s medal was also popular with 60 starters where B grader Ron Thornton clinched the mug on a count-back from Mal Ramsey.
Mick Egerton took A grade on 69 from Andrew Lennon while Len Slater’s 70 proved one too good for Bill Campbell in C grade. Notably Dud Enright featured with an Eagle on the challenging seventh. Golden shot to Danny Morrah as balls went to 74.
Winners will claim Christmas hams from now to “Santa’s arrival” and good luck to players.
