“When we were kids we had nothing and relied on the Salvation Army, so when I got a good job I thought I would give back,” Ms Millikin said.
“I try to donate to different groups every year, and I’ve given to everyone from The Women’s Refuge to the Uniting Church over the years.
“It’s about giving, my life is pretty happy so if I can give back then I’m going to give back.”
This year the family has decided to donate toys, trampolines, bikes and skateboards, just to name a few, to the Bega’s Christmas Toy Drive.
Ms Millikin’s daughter Paris said the family plans for their donations through the year by taking advantage of sales.
“It’s nice knowing we are helping people out,” she said.
The toy drive runs until Tuesday, December 20 and the community has already contributed everything from blankets to footballs, with just over two weeks left until Christmas Day.
