Bermagui Ladies golf champion Maggie Hayes contested the Genesis Cup in Sydney recently, where she finished fourth in A grade.

Hayes was joined by fellow golfer and friend Lynn Ponsford as a caddy as one of 16 finalists from 98,000 entries.
Members congratulated Hayes on her efforts as Hayes encouraged everyone to try their hand at the competition.
In regular play, the club’s summer competition is now running until the 21st of January, while Wednesday will be closing day with a nine-hole ambrose.
Thursday was an American foursomes stroke and Ted Munckton and Bob Paine combined well to top the field with 70 net.
Arthur Worthley and Peter Bradley were runners-up on 70.62.
In men’s play Saturday was the monthly medal stroke round with 64 contesting.
It took a count-back before members could congratulate David Barbour after equalling his playing partner with net 69.
It was also the medal of medalists round and Tom Boyd stormed home with 72 to claim the coveted prize.
The A grade win went to Nathan Batten returning with 70 net. Noel Flavell finished runner-up after a count-back from Neil Rutherford with both on 72.
Rodney Ashton took out B grade with net 70.
Barry Bowling missed the medal win by a count-back, but secured C grade with 69 net from runner-up Tom Boyd on 72.
In Club news, Friday is the vets day and Christmas party at Bermagui. Saturday is the presentation day at 10.30 for an 11am shotgun start. Sunday is the ladies day and a barbecue.
