Around 50 guests attended from right across the Bega Valley hospitality industry, many of them employers of the apprentice chefs and food and beverage students. A degustation menu prepared by chef David Arens and his second year apprentices was matched with wines from Robert Oatley Wines.
Head teacher of tourism, hospitality and events Deirdre Jory said the industry nights were wonderful opportunities to network and to display TAFE’s pride in their students.
“The standard gets higher every year and they are an asset for TAFE, our industry and most importantly they leave TAFE with lifelong skills,” Ms Jory said.
