Congratulations to Pam Hahne winner of the 2016 Medal of Medals (Stroke). Twelve medals were played for and won through-out the year but only six winners were available to play last Tuesday. Pam who plays off 14 had a nett 72 and was also the Div. 1 winner. Robyn Brand playing off 12 was the R/U with nett 73. The best score of the day was in Div. 2 Margaret Nall off 30 was delighted to have a nett 69, Colleen Bennett playing off 23 was the next best player with 73 nett. Div. 3 went to Deirdre Feneley with a H/cap of 32 Deirdre had nett 72 and Sue Howland playing off 31 had 74 nett to take 2nd prize. Putting was won by Colleen Bennett on only 5 holes did Colleen 2 putt the other 18 were one putts quite outstanding. NTP’s 3rd (2nd shot) Deirdre Feneley, 9th Pam Hahne, 14th a Visitor Sue Galton & the 18th with a great hit Carol Stege. Balls went to 77 on a C/b with 13 awarded, there were 40 players.

Tuesday’s game was also in conjunction with the Association Medal the play-off for which will be held at Catalina on the 17th of February 2017 our representatives will be Pam Hahne Div. 1, Margaret Nall Div. 2 & Jan Waterson Div. 3
It was the 1st round of the Jellat Cup last Saturday and with the girls from Bega joining us we had 36 players. Div. 1 (H/caps 0-21) Marnie Nicholson off a H/cap of 20 won with 39 Stableford pts. Carol Stege also playing off 20 was the R/U with 36 pt. In Div. 2 the best score came from a Bega girl, Barbara Ubrihien who plays off 30 won with 43 pts. the R/U was Narelle Harrison (H/cap 26) with 39 pts. Div. 3 (H/caps 31-45) went to Joy Brunton playing off 37, and had 37 pts. and Bega’s Gay Ward off a 37 H/cap was next best with 36 pts. NTP’s 9th Noeline Bell, 14th Rhonda Van Bracht (Bega) 18th Sue Howland. Balls went to 35 Stableford pts. with 12 being won. The overall results Tathra 188 Bega 183.
A cold, overcast day saw 13 ladies play a Stableford last Monday morning. Winners were Barbara Sekuless, Sylvia Davey, Dot Burhop & Phyllis Piscopo on a count-back. Next week is Mystery Holes turn up and play at 8.15 all welcome.
We had a raffle last Tuesday the lucky winner was Sue Cotterill. It was lovely to say Hello to Shirley Toohill who is recovering from a serious illness and dropped in after golf. Next Tuesday is Legacy Day, the Tathra Legacy ladies will provide lunch a trading table, lucky dip etc. so please remember to bring a few extra dollars. And Saturday will be a Par. Our Annual Dinner is Wednesday 26th October, Renata is taking names & money now.
In men’s play –
Tathra golf results over the past week featured a win for Deano Carroll in the Monthly medal with 65 and the Yearly medal of medals went to George Kennaugh confirming his great year of golf with 5 wins.Thursday’s DWWW saw A grade once again fall to the consistency of Peter Crain on 36 and the indefatigable George Kennaugh took B grade with a day best of 39. C grade went to Laurie Evans on 35.
Saturday’s 4 BBB went to John Seckold and improving junior Duke Creary with 48 from the veteran pairing of Bob Kermode and Bob Warman on 46.
