On their tour they visited the Davidson Whaling Station and Eden Port to view the changes taking place in readiness for cruise ship tours. They also toured Broadwater Oysters at Pambula Lake. Speakers from local land services in Bega spoke on bio-security, Landcare and veterinary information. Also a local bee-keeper addressed the group and they were entertained by a most interesting talk on the history and marketing of Bega Cheese.
The final speaker addressed his involvement in the future scientific eradication of Fireweed. The group were fascinated by the variety of agricultural pursuits in the area and enjoyed their visit.
