Long-time Cronulla Sharks supporter Mark Davies dropped into the pub from Canberra during a bucks weekend for his friend Tim Elliott.
“I’m a big Sharks fan,” the 35-year-old said ahead of the big game.
“I’ve been waiting 32 years for the duck to break.”
He said he’d probably have a beer and reflect on the “good times” if the Sharks can pull off a premiership win on Sunday night.
“The Western Bulldogs underdog win yesterday has all our Sharks hearts pounding,” he said.
Local couple Lorraine and Lindsay Coleman were supporting Cronulla but had planned to watch the game from home.
“We’re going to get out of here before it gets too loud,” Lorraine said with a smile.
